BMW CEO proposed 2.5% tariff

On American cars shipped to Eu. Down from the 10% they currently charge. We charge a 2.5% on their cars. Wonder why he’s proposing that now ?

MIght add up to several hundred Euros they collect. I have been there twice and I cannot remember seeing any American cars.

Europe needs 25% tariff on cars, and 50% tariff on attitude. The BMW guy safely knows no one is going to buy a Chevy. They’re Opals. Looking at old Top Gears, I noticed that Ford has/had quite a loyal following in England. I hope this tariff stuff all goes to pay off the debt. The bright side of all this is, I’ve learned to spell “tariff”, correctly which I haven’t had to do since I studied the Smoot-Hawkey Tariff Act of 1930 in 8th grade.
