So like a lot of us Venters you never know what you had until their gone, right? Well, maybe...
Bobo had a stellar offensive record and set some records that are going to be hard to match. So from that standpoint alone it is a tough situation for a new OC to come in and exceed those kind of standards. Some things that I hope are different from Bobo:
Bobo had a stellar offensive record and set some records that are going to be hard to match. So from that standpoint alone it is a tough situation for a new OC to come in and exceed those kind of standards. Some things that I hope are different from Bobo:
- In game decisions at clutch times. Love Bobo but really hope CBS can fix this. Think it cost us more than some on here realize.
- Not going back to the play that worked. This was mentioned by another poster and I couldn't agree more. If you are getting 8 yards on every out pass - keep throwing it until they bring the dbs up. Spurrier is the master at calling the same play over and over and over. Hopefully, CBS does this.
- Run up the score to prove a point - I know some people don't like this but there is a time and place for this. One of those times and places are when your QBs needs passing snaps - LIKE THIS YEAR!. Another time is when you have a program on the rise who needs to be put in their place - see UTk
- More TE passes. Schotty's record in the past has been to do this from everything I've read so hoping to see the TE become more prolific again.
- The reverse - actually not a big fan of this but he seems to call this from what I've read.
- The out RB pass - this has already been documented in practice. Hope our QB can lay it in there otherwise it might be pick 6.
