With Valentine’s Day approaching romance is in the air. Buck revealed some of his secrets to a successful date. Alot of youngsters make the mistake of coming off as cheap. Key Point: Girls do not like cheap! Do not take your date to a restaurant and use a buy one get one coupon and make her pay for her half so that you can eat for free. This will not work. One Buck tip is to carry a money clip with the bigger bills on the outside, never on the inside. Buck revealed that women want to feel special on Valentine’s Day. Buck recommends that if you get your special lady flowers, have them delivered to her work where other women can admire them and make a fuss. If you do end up bringing her flowers from the supermarket, take the tag off the bouquet where she will not know where you got them or how much you spent.

Buck related that if you wish to take her to a popular restaurant, you need to make a reservation. Otherwise when you arrive there may be a long wait. Buck recommends that if you take her to a restaurant, try to go to a restaurant where you will be recognized and maybe even asked for autographs. Women are impressed by this. Also, Buck does not recommend that you make complimentary comments about the figures of other women while at the restaurant. Make her feel special. Compliment her. Girls would rather be complimented than insulted by comparisons to past girlfriends. Nugget: Do not buy your date lingerie for Valentine’s Day, particularly if it’s a first date. This can backfire.

Do not spend the entire dinner regaling her of your past athletic achievements. Wearing a large championship ring makes the point and is much classier. Subtlety is the key. Dress nicely and be well groomed. Women prefer someone who is clean and neat as opposed to sweaty and disheveled. Most of the time Buck recommends placing the napkin in your lap unless you are eating messy food such as BBQ ribs in which case it is ok to put the napkin under your collar. However, if you go to the bathroom during dinner, remove the napkin from your collar rather than leaving it in place while you go. Small touches are important. When she is talking, punctuate her conversation with comments such as “that’s great” and “how nice”. It shows you are paying attention. Buck does not recommend calling or texting other women during your date. If other women call you, do not take the call except to tell them to call back later. Do not ask her about the dating status of her roommates. Whatever you do, do not post on the Dawgvent during your date. Buck then went off on a tangent about how Dantanna’s is a great place to take her for Valentine’s Day dinner and they have several romantic dessert specials.
