On finding a rhythm....
“I guess so, but I tried not to, and it’s funny that I’m saying this, force some things. Obviously I did on a few throws. I tried to take what they give you. They don’t really allow too many big plays with the way they play their defense. You kind of have to move the ball in short increments down the field. We tried and were able to do a little bit, but we didn’t finish.”
On the offensive struggles...
“A win is a win. We’re excited about that definitely, but we have a lot of work to do. A win is huge.”
On Terry Godwin's performance...
“Terry’s a great talent, and, for him to be able to make those grabs and make people miss and also as a punt returner getting us better field position, he’s awesome.”
On getting hit during the first play...
“It wasn’t my best game, and I’m anxious to go back and watch the film. Honestly, I’m really excited to go back and watch that first play. Not for what I did wrong as I came off, but one of their guys crackbacked so hard. I think my feet went above my head. I think that’ll be fun to watch. It was the first play. He talked to me after the game. He said he was sorry. Obviously he meant to hit me, but he said he was glad I got up. He was a good dude. Number thirty. A win is a win. I’m definitely excited about that.”
On Missouri's defense...
“The way they make you play with their defense, you have to get short passes here and there and move the ball running and with short passes. You drive down the field in little bursts. They don’t really give up a lot of big plays, so that’s why you saw the offensive performance today. We just didn’t finish those drives. We were able to move the field, but we weren’t able to finish. We need to take a look at this game and take a look at all of the games we’ve played and use this bye week to get better and focus on Georgia.”
