There electric grid is suffering a major defeat . In state newspapers reporting that "California's increasing reliance on solar power and other renewable sources has made the grid susceptible to blackouts in the early evening , when solar panels go dark but the weather stays hot " . Nice planning by the libs , no common sense !

Pretty stylish though at the hippest cocktail parties, where rest assured the A/C is set to 69.

California is running short due to a lack of planning and effective control of their grid. They are producing 15% below what they projected, and surrounding states are reluctant to sell them more power during a peak demand period.

It doesn't help that they shut down 30 power plants in 2020-21, including 3 natural gas plants and one nuclear plant. They have shut down still more in 2022, some of which haven't been factored in. For example, one plant that was included in their projections at 80% capacity has been closed most of the year and more than half of it has been disassembled.

This latest move goes hand in hand with the decision a week ago to keep the Diablo Canyon Nuclear facility open longer than the original projected closing date. Diablo produces 9% of the state's power. They still don't have any plan to replace that capacity.

And less than 2% of the vehicles in CA are electric.

As reported earlier, it would take 20 new nuclear sites to generate the power CA needs. And they are shutting down what they have now.

Just glad I don’t live there and they can do what they want.

Newsome will legislate a perpetual motion machine that generates unlimited amounts of power.

If you ever question demon possession, look no further than the CA governor. He won’t do without. Only the unwashed working class.
