they being doing the world a favor? Isn't doing so their moral obligation? Every lib I hear says the oceans are rising. Well, do as Kuwait does, commit to desalination. Kuwait has no fresh water resources so every ounce of drinking water comes from that effort. Not cheap but neither is not having water.

California converts, returns salt to sea, lowers the ocean level and all is good. Let them pay from the process; not my problem. Lins have not problem with raising taxes; get after it.

I've read where the cost is astronomical. It requires a ton of energy and they don't really end up with a lot of fresh water.
