a half way plausible or even remotely legitimate reason our head football coach had to take a freaking commercial flight to Washington state to visit the Eason's??? Very curious to any and all reasons. Wonder when the last time Saban hopped a commercial flight to go visit the top QB prospect in the nation right after having played a SEC game during the season???

I think he wanted direct face time with The Easons to put them at ease with all of the chatter going around.
Also, there is a real possibility CMR wanted to clarify what his plans are for the staff without it going through channels, loose lips and all that.

Well his plans are different than than his bosses tho plus money has plans. I think it's Richt trying to say I have the power not you. Witch I think he dead wrong.
I don't think so. The Board, Boosters and the AD already knew signing Eason likely depends on Richt remaining HC. He didn't need to make a display of it.

You mean if Richt stays ? Mostly because he has no ties to UGA or the region. He is traveling 2700 miles to play for Mark Richt.
As for Schotty. I hope he's being replaced, that might have entered the conversation with The Easons last Sunday.

I get that, which is why I pointed out he has no inherent connections to UGA (both of Stafford's parents are UGA grads) and He lives across the country.
He does have buddies in the 2016 class though, that would be a plus.
Most all are from this region, many are from Georgia and life long UGA fans.
The only other elite QB We've landed from outside The SE was Stafford and his parents are alums. It's a big deal to travel close to 3000 miles away from home, that takes incentive.
Besides, Mr Eason and Jacob have said they'd have to re-evaluate if Richt was gone.
So Easons father also said only way Eason does not if we install a triple option
Oh come on. That is a crazy long flight from Georgia and takes long range private jets. I go to SeaTac quite often and fly their for 500 dollars not $20k. Be 20k on a charter, we have the money but that is a waste.
As far as eason, he is important and may need some attention. Harder to get from 2000 miles away.
