Can Coach Pruitt get it done Saturday ?..

If the matador run defense shows up in Jax, we're going to lose.
We saw against a bad Missouri offense HOW to pursue, position and tackle. If We see defenders side stepping ball carriers then reaching with their hands as they run by, it's going to be another bad day.
We see good signs, then the bad stuff re-occurs. If This coaching staff is to survive past 2017 the defense must become consistently sound, this Saturday works for me.

Tackling under Pruitt has gotten a little better, but it's still a problem. I don't understand why our secondary guys refuse to wrap up. If I tackled like that my coach would have sat me down.

I really have a hard time accepting why it continues to be allowed. The only explanation I come with is poor coaching or the players say screw you coach I'm going to tackle like I want despite what you say. I believe it's a little of both.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still hopeful. Coach Pruitt hasn't had enough of his players on the field with experience to pass judgment yet. At some point there has to be consistency though. Being good here and there will never get the job done. Tackling and blocking should be very consistent on a well coached team.

Agreed, we don't do either very well. I've bitch about it for years. When the going gets tough, we fold like a cheap suit.
