Can someone explain how the GA Voting Law = Jim Crow?

Stacey and her followers can’t send out mass text anymore under all of her crazy organizational names, promising free sh#t (utilities and Covid money), begging people to register to vote, so her organizations can send in unverifiable ballots...plain and simple...b%tch got mad, and also got busted (Lying POS on her involvement in the removal of the All Star game, like so many other things) She is complete trash!
ANd what party was Jim Crow affiliated with?

It seems to me that the voter id portion of the bill has put a crimp in the Abrams “get out the vote” playbook. Honestly I knew folks on the left would raise hell about this, but “the lady doth protest too much, methinks.” I was not a big flag waiver about voter fraud in the last elections, but the way the left has carried on, has really made me wonder.
Stacey’s latest. If so, then the age to purchase alcohol is 19. 68% of the world legal age for alcohol sales is 18. But MADD should be mothers against swimming pools & lakes. More kids drown than alcohol.

That's not true.... Not at all true. The problem with these ID laws is that they disproportionately effect poor people. A large portion of the poor population don't have an ID because they don't own a car. Most of these laws do not provide anything to insure those people can still vote... They put all the burden of making sure they can still vote on the voter. That shouldn't be the case. If the state wants to use photo IDs that's fine but the state should then make damn sure that anyone eligible to vote still can vote without having to jump through hoops and spend money that can't afford to spend to do so. THAT is the problem we liberals have with it.
You can’t pick up a prescription with out an ID. In Acworth, Ga. you can’t see a “R” rated movie without an ID. No marriage Lic. Just curious who do you know that does not have an ID? Part time HS kids from low income households save up their money to pay the fees to get a drivers lic. They want the freedom.

If the bill does nothing, why was it needed in the first place? Just for optics? If it does nothing to suppress, why did we need to lose the All-Star game just to make laws that do nothing. self inflicted wound if that’s the case.
Well....it does do something ....it makes one have to have an ID to request a mail in ballot - and the mail in ballot must be requested ....they can’t just send out ballots to everybody and their dead relatives or people who have moved etc

ID’s to vote are free and if having an ID to vote targets poor people ...... who hat does having to show an ID to get food stamps infringe on? You have to have an ID to get food from a free food bank

Truth is it just democrates lie and this law has nothing to do with Jim Crow laws. That is what eventually happens when you try and talk facts with a lib. They say X=y when really there is nothing in common between X and y. They aren't worried about the fact checkers though they just wanted to get their false narratives, lies, deceptions out because the media never spends the time say we reported this wrong or stacey abrahams lied to us all.

Large portion of the poor population don’t have id. Because of how expensive it is. Wow.

This says they are free.

I just saw a stat that says 83 percent of the state households own a smart phone. And we have large amounts of people that can find there way to get a free voter id. That is amazing.

Recent Rasmusson poll showed 89% of Georgia voters who earn less than $25K, favored voter ID.

You Keep talking about ids and food and water but the TROJAN HORSE is the Legislature can send their people and take over for people that are running elections anywhere..They determine what votes count.Look out ATL and all those areas that voted Democrat.

According to the Act, only the state elections board can remove local election superintendents. To do so requires that the local superintendent has violated state election rules at least 3 times within 2 years and has not remedied the violations, or has grossly failed to execute their job requirements for at least 2 elections within a 2 year period.

The state board can only suspend a maximum of 4 local officials, statewide, at any one time. Removal then requires a formal hearing and a majority vote of the board.

The state board itself has 5 members, including a non-partisan chair (approved by both houses of the legislature), a member appointed by the Senate, a member appointed by the House, and one representative of each major political party. The state board was established in 1968.

You realize this isn’t true right? Almost everyone has an ID, poor or not.

Where are these poor people? I assume they aren’t in section 8 housing (requires ID) on Medicaid (requires ID) getting any government assistance of any kind as they all require an ID. If they are above that level then an ID is required to rent an apartment, buy a house, open a bank account, buy alcohol, fly on a plane, etc.

The belief that there are a bunch of people without IDs that are also too poor (they are free) or lazy to get them is some bigotry of low expectations.

If there is a group of even a small size, you should be outraged at the racism of the vaccination program as it also requires an ID.

Also, an ID was already required to vote in person in GA. The new law made it so the number is required on the absentee ballot rather than the far more subjective “signature verification”.

Jimmy, that was the one question I really wanted answered about the bill as well. No way that would fly, but I kept hearing that. This is going to sound like a strange resource. But check out the bill shanks show interview with Brian kemp. Bill did a good job of pressing him on all of these. Crazy a sports guy did a great job with this interview, but I swear this should be required listening. He explains it much better than I ever could. I came away from this thinking syntax, and country accents don’t mean anything when it comes to intelligence. Smarter than he appears. He pulled not one punch. Major League Baseball was aware. Way ahead of time. All the corporations actuaooy had a say in the final bill. Yet acted like sgt schultz. Very illuminating interview.

Hope this works. By far the best question and answer out there imo.

Scroll down when it pops up and you can listen to just the kemp interview.
