Just curious, do you guys support the trashing of the decorated army officer just because he was troubled by the Trump call call?
President Bone Spurs doesn’t seem to like him.
First, he is decorated for driving by an IED, based on what I read. I respect service in a combat zone, but let's not soft pedal the facts. Max Clelland made a career out of dropping a grenade in his lap while driving a supply truck.
Second, on to trashing. I don't know anything about the man personally. I have seen selectively released "snippets" of other testimonies leaked out of context, because I took the trouble to watch full testimonies, before Schitt decided things were not TV worthy and took it underground to control the agenda. I do know, as a fact, that Orange Man Bad's predecessor purged over 200 senior officers from the military, far more than any president in history. Promotion became linked with loyalty to the leftist theology. Thus, I have little trust for anyone above Captain right now, and I will be wary of what they say.
Mattis is a prime example of Obama promotions, even though he was forced out after 4 years. He was a Naval ROTC graduate from an obscure college in Washington state, worked his way to Major through the dangerous route of regional recruitment coordinator in the Marines, and his greatest combat feat was denying aid to Special Forces wounded troops in Afghanistan because "he was uncertain as to the situation". Air Force evac helicopters had to go rescue the wounded from three times further away. There is a book about it. And POTUS was right to call that self promoting, hostile fire wary SOB the most overrated general on the planet. He was an actor, not a Marine.
Oh. The USAF choppers dropped the wounded off at Mattis' base for treatment, since it was the closest to the action. He saw that he was being left out and would look bad, he now knew the situation on the ground was stable, so he proceeded to launch helicopters to go support the Spec Ops guys..........filled the wounds of the wounded with rotor dust in the process.
Since he knew the wounded were injured by errant B-52 bombs from the beginning, Mattis had no reason to withhold support. He also had no reason for his after the fact chopper launches. He simply crawled under his bunk, shat his pants, and probably wished he was back at the recruiting station. These are the leaders of our military, post-2008. God Bless the troops on the front lines. The politicians in uniform have agendas, which is what you would say if one of them spoke up for POTUS.
