Eff me. He’s a premeditated murderer. Insurance companies can absolutely make you hate them. I’ve been mistreated by the bastards too, but murder?
I was just denied my surgery as not being a medical necessity. Dude is my Hero!!!!!!!

Seriously asking if a murderer is a hero?? I mean I have had horrendous experiences with insurance companies, maybe worse than anyone ever and I could never understand how anyone could see taking a life as the solution.

You think the murderer is a hero to the dead guy’s wife and kids? His parents? Siblings?

I’ll admit he didn’t kill the most sympathetic victim in the world but he is a cold blooded murderer. And he probably set off a new round of assholes pushing an agenda.

Well you could say the CEO walked the company line and made millions off the death and suffering of others. Remember Heathcare is a right to all of us

surely that's no question ? He is low life scum bag Killer
Do you know what the denial rate is on Necessary treatment in this country especially surgical?

For those like me whom never use it and pay $15k + a year?

It’s over 50%! Imagine needing something to better your life that you have a 100% right too and being denied!

Now, as someone in healthcare , the value chain in healthcare is completely screwed up. The folks doing God’s work - the hospitals (providers) clinicians - MDs and nurses make a 2% margin if that. The commercial insurers (payers) make a fortune in margin. There are hundreds of hospitals across the US, while there are relatively few commercial payers (Aetna, Cigna, UHG). The payers keep lowering the reimbursement rates to providers and denying coverage to the insureds. The providers have little power and aren’t sophisticated enough to negotiate effectively with the payers. I am a believer in lower taxes ; but, the payers should have to pay a windfall profit tax as their margins are obscene. As an aside, payers made a killing during COVID - premiums came in, but had to pay very few claims as there were no elective procedures. Providers had to provide care to those with Covid, but had no elective procedures. The Cares Act was the only thing that allowed providers to survive. The disproportionate profitability of the payers is evil.

But, the killer should rot in hell. He is no hero.

Murder is always wrong. He should get the chair for premeditated murder. There is absolutely no room in society for this.

The guy left behind a wife and kids that have to try and go on without him. I don’t know why this is even a discussion.

Well he made millions off the pain, suffering and death of others that’s why. You make is sound simple yet how many folks died from being Denied care under his watch. What insurance companies do is pre mediated as well.

We have evolved as human beings from the Code of Hammurabi. Both can be wrong; but there is zero connection or justification between the two

No? I beg to differ but of course that’s my opinion. Eye for an eye is a great philosophy

Please don’t I have means! But I feel for those that don’t
As do I; I am the biggest critic of the payers - see my post above - I fight against that industry all the time. But, surely you aren’t saying the guy deserved to die??
