Clemson plays at one of the slowest paces in college basketball. They average 65.1 possessions per game, 342nd out of 351 teams. Now as @gacard reminded us earlier this week, slow doesn't mean bad (Virginia is dead last in PPG), but they are really slow.
To put that in perspective, Georgia now ranks 263rd with exactly 70.0 PPG, almost five more PPG than Clemson. If you add five PPG to that, to get to 75, those teams rank 66th-70th. So the difference between the way they play and the way we play is the same as that between playing the way we play and playing pretty dang fast, in roughly the top one-fifth of fastest-paced teams.
By the way, the fastest team in terms of PPG is Citadel at 84.5 PPG (no one else is even at 82). The only two Power 5 teams in the Top 10 are Washington (recent losers to our friends Oakland; bet that was an up-and-down game) at 4th (81.4) and LSU 7th (78.8).
