Something I’ve not seen mentioned much are the impact the clock rules have, especially as it relates to play calling. It seems to me that Bobo likes to try and establish the run early in games, but when you have the other team staying on the field and winning time of possession, then we can’t afford the super conservative play calling.
Only getting 8-9 possessions throughout the game doesn’t allow for us to ease into games.
Frankly I thought we were lucky we held UK to field goals and just hope against Bama, UT etc that we don’t dig too deep a hole for ourselves where we don’t have time to come back.
