Listen, this may be copium after last night. But we have pretty decent evidence that CMW teams play well after breaks. The past two years, they have played some of their best SEC basketball in January just after the Christmas break. After our bye week this year, we took Auburn to the wire and then rattled off our huge win streak. And the totally unexpected NIT run started after five days off from the SECT loss to UF.
All I’m saying is that while it sucks to have lost yesterday and looked bad in the last ten minutes, it doesn’t necessarily tell us anything about how we will come out next week.
