I have been very critical of many of the coaches this season and honestly CBS and CMR have probably rightfully caught the most IMO. I exchanged texts with someone very close to the O coaches today and they are VERY uncomfortable right now! The HEAT has really been turned up on them and the fact is there isn't a lot they can do about the situation with the players they have been dealt! They honestly are putting all their chips on this UF game and know if they lose, things will almost be unbearable for the remaining of the season. I believe we will see Game 7 type decision made during the UF game as this is some of the coaches Game 7! I personally don't think we have the horses to compete with UF's D, but I HOPE I am wrong! I think a W against UF would help the atmosphere around BM tremendously and give some of the players a little more mojo.
After exchanging text with this person, I honestly feel a little bad for CBS! He has told the power above him point blank that "the fact that UGA is in the QB situation that we are in is pathetic!" CBS is stuck with VERY average players on O and that honestly should be a slap on the face of CMR and Bobo a little! UGA has recruited pretty poorly on O over that past few years if you look at who is a player maker on O. We have several young guys that will be really good next year and on but really we are lacking on O a lot more than D IMO. Am I wrong to conclude this? We are so thin at WR and QB! Hard to win when all we can do is run the ball decent! This recruiting issue is squarely on CMR IMO!!!!
With this being said, I honestly think CBS needs to be given a quality QB with talent before we completely throw him under this bus. I honestly would love to see him develop Jacob Eason as the next Matthew Stafford, as I think he has the skill set and talent to be! However, from the exchange I had today with someone, CBS and most the O staff may likely not be back for 2016 if we lose to UF. This will not necessarily be a CMR decision, this may be one made by themselves! Several of them seem to think they were given mid-tier SEC type players and were expected beat top tier SEC teams! Yes, it is part of the job they accepted but the QB situation was MUCH worse they they thought when hired!!
