Is what is going on at Bama, OKSt, and Clemson a product of their coaches being at their schools so long?

We sort of saw that at UGA with Richt. He meant a great deal to the school but, when he left at 15 years it was due to a down turn.

Saban started at 2007. This is his 16th year...
Gundy started at 2005. This is his 18th year...
Dabo started at 2008. This is his 15th year...

Do you think this is a natural progression of things? I know for Saban his journey has been very successful and Gundy not so much... but do all coaches kinda lag at certain times in their careers? A lot of their issues were departing generational assistants...

Bowden (FSU) seems an exception of sorts, but even his last years were not great. Also had departing generational assistants...

Thoughts?
