WOW - what a Saturday it was in the SEC and Nationally!
UGA Update
RPI: 40 / SOS 40
CBS: #10 seed / ESPN: #8 seed and both have UGA as locks
Dropped 5 RPI spots so our W was HUGE as it kept us from dropping lower. Here is why we dropped.......again proof that you cannot just focus on UGA when figuring out postseason chances............
*** Thankfully we won because Ole Miss & Texas AM losing cost us 3 Top 50 W's & some on our SOS
*** Vandy winning gained us 2 Top 100 W's
*** SC winning moved into Top 100 so we only have 2 L's below 100 RPI (strong)
*** TENN and Chattanooga losing cost us 2 Top 100 W's
*** Other teams like Colorado, Seton Hall losing hurt us on the SOS which impacts RPI
** In the end, our W turned out be HUGE and more important than anyone thought it would going into the day due to so many other outcomes.
** W yesterday likely "locked" up a NCAA bid
** DaWgs now the 3 seed in SEC Tournament and get the "double bye" - HUGE for several reasons!
BIDS UPDATE - clinched
NCAA: (1) Belmont
NIT: (2) Charleston Southern, Murray State
Championships Today: Big South, MVC, Atlantic Sun
Ivy League: With Yale losing yesterday, the Ivy League will have a 1-game playoff between Yale-Harvard on Penn's campus - AWESOME!
DaWgs fans need to pull for Minnesota, Stony Brook, Mercer to help our SOS
