Some of you want to say that "fair play" would lend for Kirby to come to UGA now and not be loyal to the University of Saban. Let me state the obvious. There is a difference in quitting versus being fired. Kirby is leaving Alabama by his own choice. The same can not be said about Pruitt. So had Kirby been fired then he would be here just like Pruitt is at bama. Your argument that what is good for the goose is good for the gander doesn't hold water because the situation is totally different.

And for the record...if Kirby has the same results at UGA that Saban has at 'bama he can run this program how he wants IMHO.

Completely agree! It's not the same thing.

If the most resent reporting is correct, that Kirby is spending time every day organizing for UGA, I'm ok with it.
If Kirby's own words of ONLY working towards The MSU game is the truth, I have a problem with it.
Either way, Kirby should either tell the truth or hold his tongue. The trouble with lying to fans is You can't know when he's telling the truth, which kills trust.
As for running the program how He pleases, only within the framework of OUR ethics. If We allow a HC to dictate educational, behavioral and other issues related to standards, that would be too high a price to pay for trophies.

No not realy money is happy when Kirby is happy. There for money will make Kirby happy. I have no problem how Alabama handles there issues

Are You saying You'd be fine with over-signing, running off players, finding ways around the intended purpose of rules, etc, etc, as long as We win ?
Why not just buy a plastic trophy and put it on Your mantle if They're that cheap to You ?
I trust We haven't turned The policies of This University over to Kirby Smart. If that turns out to be the case. I'll find better uses for My time and money. I think We have better leaders than that though.

Kirby is in charge

Kirby is an employee of a public university that is charged with educating young men and women. He is not autonomous in any way, shape or form.
He is in charge of running the football program within the guidelines set in place and enforced by His superiors within The University and beyond.

With all due respect I am not sure YOUR ethics are exactly in line with a good many of the folks that post and or read on this forum. So, not sure what "OUR ethics" means coming from yourself.

Well, since you're ok with it, we can all breathe a sigh of relief...now we are all on the edges of our seats to hear how the other Helens feel about the situation...

You confuse politics with ethics, not surprising, You're mostly confused about anything of value.
Name something unethical I'm for.

Stonecoldposturer, You lightweight pretenders think the baby was thrown out with the bathwater. I expect You will find out otherwise.
Kirby is an employee, high priced for sure, but He won't be setting University policies. If He finds that too restraining, let Him go back to Gumptown.
I don't know why You don't just pull for Bama. You clearly don't care for the people or policies of UGA.

Is that the official Helen stance on the subject, of have y'all yet to settle on a unified message?

Agreed.... Totally different circumstances

I agree to a certain extent except he could have stayed till the bowl game. He technically wasn't fired till Jan. 3. He's not coaching at Bama. But like I said, we don't have to pay him. So that's good.

He IS coaching, just not officially. He is also recruiting.

''y'all'', I'm one of the only independent thinkers that post here. Hell, You even parrot the stupid notion that I post under multiple names. Nobody else post like Me, not even close, You on the other hand..

'
Not according to Saban, but I really don't care what he is doing! Of course, he's recruiting! Glad Saban said he relieved Kirby from recruiting or anything that didn't have to do with the game itself.
