My wife and I will be in Georgia this weekend and are considering attending the game against Alabama. I have a couple of questions: 1. Is scalping legal in Georgia and around the campus? 2. I've never bought scalped tickets at Sanford, but I see others buying and selling. It is technically illegal to sell on campus, but it happens. The stadium is located near off campus property though, so your best bet is to get there early and walk around the commercial area just a couple of blocks from Sanford.
I have bought tickets from scalpers at other SEC sites and I've never had a problem and I've never seen anybody arrested.

Don't know the legality of scalping but it happens everywhere all over downtown and campus. If it is illegal, no one seems to care. A better piece of advice for you regarding legality is that open container laws are enforced downtown but not on campus. You will get a ticket very quickly if you carry open container downtown.

If I were scalping for this game, I'd walk the lots around the stadium and campus where people are tailgating with two fingers in the air. If you're wearing UGA gear, I think you could get lucky and find tickets for $100 each from a fan selling tickets. From a scalper, you're looking at $200 each or more.

Just hang around on the bridge before the game and you can get tickets.
