Thanks to the 550+ folks that entered the National Championship Pick 'Em Contest as the Georgia Bulldogs FINALLY exercised the demons and reached the mountain top with the incredible win over Alabama. 1980 is officially dead and gone.
As for the Pick 'Em contest, the vast majority went with their heart and picked Georgia to break Bama's stranglehold, but there were a few entries that rolled with the Tide, like this one:
"38-17 Bama. Who are we kidding. Stetson is who he is. Young is who he is. He will tear our secondary to pieces. They are Bama and we are UGA. We are the Red Sox prior to 2004."
The final score was a bit unusual thanks to failed 2-pt conversion attempts by both teams - in fact no one predicted the exact final score of 33-18.
There were a dozen entries that were just off the mark by predicting a more typical final score of 34-17. Here are the virtual runners up:
@TheGanchor 34-17 Dawgs
@Long34 34-17 Dawgs
@CDCDavid 34-17 UGA
@arcadedawg 34-17
@moultriedawg UGA 34 Ala 17

@mtbulldawg Georgia- 34 Alabama- 17
@James1973 34-17 dawgs
@GADAWGinIraq Dawgs 34 - Bama 17
@BobsBanners5 34-17 Dawgs
One entry rose above all the others, nailing the Tide's final score of 18 while narrowly missing UGA's 33 points.
