I live in Altamonte (Orlando) now and have since spring. My son is 8 and loves the Hawks (as do I). So, we have been planning a Hawks game here for some time. I picked tickets near the tunnel where I thought the Hawks would run out.
So, we got there 90 minutes before game-time and sat down as soon as we could (60 minutes before) to watch the guys warmup. I always enjoy that. As soon as we sat down, the security guard started talking to us and noticed my son's Hawks Jersey. He then mentioned the Hawks come out right below us (we were first row above the tunnel).
He then thought a second and said, I can 1 up that... He then took us back inside the tunnel of the visiting locker room. I got a high five from Millsap and my son from Howard. I told "Baze" to keep smiling and he responded, "Yes sir."
I don't get star struck really. I have partied with Jerome Bettis, Julius Peppers and Jeff Gordon. I have spent the weekend at Jamie Lynn Siglers house before. However, I do love meeting certain athletes and it was super cool with my kid. Unfortunately, Korver (our favorite player) wasn't there. I would have asked him to take a picture with my son if he was
