I'm posting this after someone mentioning Weyman Sellers in a previous post. I've heard some crazy stories about him. My high school coach was Dwight Hochstetler at Bowdon. Granted I only graduated HS 20 yrs ago, but he's was a tough cookie who demanded excellence. That's what he's in the top 5 in Ga in victories. My favorite story and there were many of them , was when we were playing Adairsville in the playoffs in 1992 the year we won state, he kicked a helmet so high that it went over all our heads and hit the wall behind us. After a few minutes, he limped around and said "I think I broke my toe!" Classic Hochie!! He would also knock your drink out of your hand and then tell you to go get another one. He was however the best damn adjustment coach at halftime I've ever seen. It's like he ALWAYS knew what the other team was gonna do. Oh and he LOVED to smack you on the helmet with a whistle. That made me more furious than him ever yelling at me! Looking back , those 4 tough years were priceless in my development. If you could withstand 4 years of his hellish practices and make it through, most everything else was gravy!
