Y'all can put on your red and black glasses all you want to, but between the baseball player/JF1 bullshit excuse and the idiocy of signing a 5 star QB at the worst possible time, Kirby has screwed the pooch. Then his best coordinator, a black guy, bolts to Colorado.
We all know that the baseball player BS had nothing to do with JF1 hitting the bricks. He might be a self-centered asshole, or he might be the victim of randomly running in and out of games in the worst QB management manner since Richt put Shockley in the game in JAX in 2002.
We all know that Mel Tucker left for a better opportunity, and nothing more. But imagine recruiting against UGA.........just think about it.
Not to mention, CKS totally lost the team in the Sugar and all those chanting "the game was meaningless because of the playoff system" are either stupid or in denial. I have been watching college football since 1971, and even under that system there were never more than two bowl games that mattered, yet other teams showed up and played their best.
CKS lost his team in an important game. It is HIS job to prepare them, just like it is HIS job to call timeout and punt when his QB sharts during the dumbest play in UGA football since Dooley's 1975 fake FG in the Cotton, which turned the whole game around.
It is one thing to recruit based on recruiting service rankings; it is another to have the instinct to identify talent and loyalty. Van Gorder offered Thomas Davis at a Sasser High School BASKETBALL game because of his speed on the court. CKS offered JF1 based on recruiting service rankings, and he did it after his freshman QB played well enough to win a national title. He did it in an era when hotdog skill position recruits don't sit quietly on the bench awaiting their turn.
We have seen our only playoff appearance under the current regime. Call me whatever you want, but I am going to back off and let the record speak for itself. I hope to look like an idiot, but I doubt it will happen. Chasing stars does not get you to the top, unless you have the intelligence to know which stars to chase. CKS is as dumb as a sack of hammers, and you will get bored with those SEC East titles in three years. That is, assuming Mullen doesn't pass us.
