An ex-staffer there (2014) who is now at another SEC school and is a friend of my daughter told me he is worn down from the grind and wants out, not necessarily from UA but out of football and the grind of that side of the SEC. They are a wreck waiting on a place to happen. Horrible kicking game, the kickoffs and punts they catch they either fumble or one senior caught a kickoff in the end zone and then ran out to his own 7 and promptly took a knee there to down it. Two kickoffs last night were fumbled by the returners inside the 20 for two Ole Miss scores.

They threw 3 more interceptions to the growing number of the first games and gave up two more touchdowns over 70 yards. The guy says he (Saban) is tired but can't quit because of his paycheck but thinks he will soon as he is cooked. Meantime their current team is self destructing and will likely crumble due to the lack of direction.

You are dreaming.

That team, that coach, that staff will not mail it in.

Well my Son's 1st grade teacher's cousin heard from a guy whose wife does Saban's Wife's nails that Lil Nicky plans on winning 10 more titles at Bama, coaching there till he dies, having boosters get him stuffed and being displayed for all time in the new Nick Saban museum on campus.
Bama turned the ball over 5 times last night, they won't be so generous against us. If we win, we'll have to earn it.

I get it that you are part of the nose picking public who may be somewhat envious of anyone who has access to information that is not available to you. My off spring happens to be a friend of this young man who is on an SEC staff as an aide. He was very recently on staff under Saban and got a better job because of that connection. But you are free of course to believe what you will. I neither know the young man nor have I ever met him. However he states that Saban is very tired and the grind has worn him down. His interest in Texas was real for one reason only: it is so much easier there.

They have been a wreck so far in 2015. Times change and nothing stays the same. Coach Richt went into a swoon but he has adjusted (brought the program up to standard with a key hiring and let this key new guy make changes and bring in an aggressive group of young coaches). But Mark always had football in perspective. This just feels like it is UGA's time. Many of these young guns are ex-Saban staff and they are juiced to get the old man's scalp and have the horses to do it with. They just applied the coup de gras to another old legend Sat. SOS is dead, finished. Happens to everybody.

Alabama losing to Ole Miss is the worse thing that could have happen to us. They are going to be pissed.

5 turnovers and they still almost came back. I think I would stop crowing because GA beat little SC.

An actual friend of mine who was there as a coach has made similar comments. My friend has coached at several schools and said that while he's enjoyed the most success at Alabama, the pressure to stay on top there is like nothing he's ever seen.....it wore him out and he was about to get out of the business until another opportunity presented itself.

The Kiff is another issue there....while he posseses a good offensive mind, his players don't respect him....he's a sleeze ball with no moral compass. It's amazing that Saban puts up with his shananagans.

I'd love to see some player take a shot at Kiffin on the sidelines and actually do some damage. Outside of Meyer, there might not be a more deserving person in college football.

Having to face a Saban coached team with it's back against the wall and essentially two weeks to prepare is NOT a good situation. They know if they drop this game their season is over in terms of reaching the SECC/CFP. On the flip side, if the Dawgs can pull it off, then we won't have to face them again in the dome.

As big as this game is, beating UT the following week is more important for us. Either way, Bama will be the best team we face in the regular season and they will be ready to play.

UGA isn't man enough to beat Bama. There, I said it.
But Ole Miss is, in Tuscaloosa. This is a special Georgia team, spurred on by talent and young gun assistant coaches. Unless Georgia gives the game in Athens away it will be an official changing of the guard. The next and only big challenge left will be Ole Miss or LSU in Atlanta. Then who nationally can match up? Ohio St looks very vulnerable.

What are you basing this on?

Someone missed the 2002 reference.
