Dear Mr. Trump, We're NOT interested in relations with Russia.

Here's the thing.......And I say this respectfully........

There is NO one, NO ONE that wants to start or build a relationship with Russia other than a discourse and diplomacy surrounding peace. Except the President. We're 20 years post cold war and that sentiment still rings true. On this issue the party stands not with POTUS, Fox News stands not with POTUS and I'm damn sure the able minded GOP electorate stands NOT with POTUS and is splitting blood furious over the days events.

Also, I'm not a Democrat.

Possibly but they would be an idiot to not try to keep the Russians close. The congress idiots are the same people calling Trump an idiot for slinging insults at Kim Jong Un. Can you imagine what they would say if he called Putin "Lil' Hacker". Seriously, there is no pleasing the establishment in Congress. For now, if Trump is shaking the tree...I'm all for it.

I hear you and I get that. Philosophically it's the right thing to do if you believe that Trump is an able negotiator. He clearly is not. And Pragmatically speaking? It was a bad idea from day one.

With all due respect, every POTUS since Reagan has tried to build a relationship with Russia and the current gnashing of teeth is hypocrisy wrapped up in a good dose of lunacy. Trump did nothing more today that attempt to keep lines of communication open with a somewhat destabilized country that happens to have a huge stockpile of nukes.

Trump has attacked Russian supported Syria. Trump has sent arms to Ukraine. Trump has publicly called out a supposed ally for their economic relationship with Putin's Russia but he didn't insult Putin during a joint press conference. Let's all pitch a hissy.

Are you and open border Democrat ? If you are what hell are you worried about Russia for? You have enough problems with whats coming across our borders

Not only did Trump not insult Putin, he took Putin's side against his own country, stating that he holds "both countries responsible" for Russia's illegal and deliberate tampering with the US Presidential election in 2016 through hacking, spear phishing, and stealing data.

The President of the United States stands with an enemy of the US against his own Justice Department and congressional leaders of his own party.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell: “The Russians are not our friends. I’ve said that repeatedly, I say it again today. And I have complete confidence in our intelligence community and the findings that they have announced.”

House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan: “There is no moral equivalence between the United States and Russia.”

Senator and former Republican presidential candidate John McCain: “No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant."

Trump's conduct today in Helsinki is inexcusable. I think most people realize that.

I think you mean "an". Can't be sure.

But if you read my post you'd know I stated I was not a Democrat. As for the rest of your statement it's as sophomoric and convoluted as your grammar and pronoun usage.

Are you a UGA grad?

Oh for cripes sake, O's Sec State presented them with a reset button and tried to open Russia even going as far as helping them get Uranium contracts. W saw Putin's soul. I'd say allowing Russia to control more uranium was a wee bit more dangerous than refusing to insult Putin in a joint presser.

I never suggested he insult him. Nor did I suggest I was upset because be didn't. In fact I did not use the word insult. You are inferring. Incorrectly.

Yes, the patriots of the United States of America. That was a blaring sign of weakness among many others by obama. Then you had kerry and clinton to really reiterate the weakness of the dems foreign policy.

I don't agree it was weak. To be fair, weakness or strength can only exist if there IS a foreign policy. There was not. We just acted friendly. Except to Israel.........:)

You are for sure a dim. You twerps are the only ones that get your panties in a wad about some chat board spelling and grammar.. Most of the time people, like me, are typing fast and trying to get lots o thoughts down in a hurry because we are at work or have other things going on.... What makes your statement of pompous superiority even more funny is your misuse of the term couldn't care less in your reply to me.... you are a dim/liberal hypocrite. You all have the same play book.

Assumptions, Insults and personal attacks are something you seem to be good at. Don't stop! You missed the point with the could or couldn't care less statement.
Also, I ended my first sentence with a preposition. Like you I got lazy. Hope you don't mind.

People like this OP just prove that the 'RAT strategy of turning politics into "optics" and "narrative" instead of resultant policy over reasonable time from our leadership is sadly ... effective. No plan and no policy yet fish swim into their hysteria net time after time.
Here today we have absolutely no resultant policy from this silly meeting. No troops are dead, no treasure is expended, and certainly no sanctions lifted. Yet, the media has made even apparently level headed people scream like their daughter has just been raped.
One other poster, an obvious fool, claimed it was a "disaster" and says "we are humiliated".
Would one of you disturbed geniuses please fill me in on the reality of this great loss which we have suffered. I seem to be missing your point.
Oh, and please don't say "optics" or "world opinion" or some horse shit about how we "look" in the eyes of those who but for us would all be speaking German ... who owe us their very existence.
I wipe my ass on higher grade wad than that. Hell, at least toilet paper is not imaginary.

Drop the mike sir! That was spot on and cuts through the bs the left lays down. We need that toilet paper to clean up thier emotional mess they have left us with.

Again the open border policy is the treat. With the Nukes that the US and Russia have the planet is much safer if there is common ground.
Who got the $400,000,000. I don't give a rats ass about what these no ball politicians say both Republican and Socialist that why I voted for Trump because he is not who those thieves

Nope don't mind at all. I don't care how you spell or about your use of grammar, I care that you and those of your ilk want to destroy America. Yes, I can throw personal attacks with the best of them. I sat quietly and watched you dimwits for a long time. Now I am all in fighting fire with fire. I am sick of the whining, crying, pathetic lies of the left. I am sick of those like you that throw an insult first then cry because someone fought back.. Read your own writing egg head. You talked about the lack of intelligence of Trump supporters. You talked about grammar and spelling, and you mentioned that "able minded" pubs wouldn't agree with him.. just a back handed way of calling anyone that agrees with him dumb. So as I said, take your arrogant little liberal beotch self on back to a cave some where. If its true you didn't support/vote for killary you were a Bernie supporter. You can't hide your leftist tilt. You would have been screaming the man is crazy and going to start a nuclear war with Russia had he tried to publicly disgrace him.

Answer this, if you were in Trumps position, would you trust the "intelligence" community after seeing what comey, strzok, page, and a whole litany of agents tried to gin up against him? Where was your outrage when odufus appointed a man (Clapper) that voted for the communist party candidate to head the CIA?

My issue is, you dims don't have to agree, but please stop with your HYPOCRACY. ALL THE TRAITOTUS CRAP YOUR SIDE HAS PULLED AND NOT A PEEP!!!!!! Uranium 1, taking $400 million dollars in donations form the ruskie that brokered that deal, your master snuggling up to the ruskie ambassador saying in essence, listen, I am lying to the American people, I will be real nice to you when I get voted in again, and the IRAN crap was an incredible fiasco, that has and will cost American lives. But OMG, let Trump not bash a guy in public... and you MELT DOWN over that.. HYPOCRITES!!!!!!!! Each and everyone of you.

Are you that daft? Both countries are responsible. The Russians for meddling and the US, specifically the DNC for lax security measures on their systems. And don’t get me started on HRC’s e-mail server. But by all means, continue to take it out of context and believe the hysteria.

As for Trump’s comments on the DOJ and intelligence, he was speaking in context of the probe regarding collusion. The Mueller probe essentially has two areas of interest, collusion and meddling, that get looped into the same narrative with the goal to create a rhetorical link between the two when that has been proven not to exist. The context of what Trump said was around collusion, not the indictments. But now all of a sudden, since Trump doesn’t mention the indictments, this collusion narrative doesn’t exist anymore? He’s siding with Putin and Russia because he besmirched the probe and didn’t mention the indictments? This is what is called a pivot to continue the hysteria.

Dems are right, people are going to start dying, and it’s going to be their fault for inciting such division through this bullshit they spew through the MSM, all in the name of butthurt from losing the 2016 election. Unreal.

You know midterms are close when Republicans start calling each other Democrats.

You still have me pegged incorrectly. A Hillary win would have been a sh*t-show of the highest order for this country. I believe Trump to be corrupt but what the Clintons did (and still do) pales in comparison and is a f-ing head shaker. And no, NO, I was not in the Bernie camp either. That kinda philosophy does not work in a country like ours. I'll also note that I did not support that sh*t show Jill Stein.

Back to my initial comments.....In retrospect my grammar comment was likely ill-advised. Can and does come off as pompous. An OCD thing. My issue, was not personal. Must have been pissed off about something when I penned it. Smoke from another fire kinda thing.....

I believe Trump to be corrupt

Not try to be a smart arse but why to do believe Trump to be corrupt? Now, I am convinced he has engaged in some shady business deals but to this point, I've seen nothing that suggest he's done anything other than playing the game in private industry by the rules as they are enforced. As a matter of fact, one of my biggest reasons for supporting Trump is he fully understands how private businesses are shaken down by Pols and their favored protected groups and knows where to start sweeping.

I've said many times I do not believe Trump to be an angel but I do believe he is sincere when he says America first. When guys like McConnell and others on both sides of the aisle that have very cozy relationships with China and the Pols that were trying to bring Russia into the G-7 criticize Trump for negotiating tactics, I don't take them very seriously at all. Imo, they see Trump as a bigger threat to their nest feathering than getting out-played by a world leader and that's why he is taking flack from all sides.

I guess it's the daily lies and spreading of false information, contradictions and talking out of both sides of his gob that infuriates me. I see that as corruption. And that is not fake news. He misrepresents empirical facts. Is that something new in politics? Oh hell no. It's what American politics is. Maybe I'm wanting the lies to be more Bush Senior-esque. Kinder and gentler......LOL

Business is dirty, I get that. In a capitalist society $$ are the only bottom line and many will do anything and I mean ANYTHING to achieve the cash grab. That mindset though does not translate well into being POTUS. His negotiating is disruptive. There CAN be two winners (not talking Zero-sum game here) in a good negotiation but to Trump it's win or lose. Tariffs are a good example. If continued they'll crush American farmers and much of our already depleted manufacturing base.

As for "America First", we'd all better be for that, but his idea of how to MAGA does not sit well with me. I'm all about strong borders and limiting access to the US from those that might and do want to hurt us. His tactics though smack of racism. Might be racism, might not be but optics DO matter to the electorate that mostly does not have time to bone up on the issues.

Just wish he was a bit more savvy, he'd get what he wanted if he would learn to spoon feed the sugar with the vinegar and not piss the vinegar................;)

UGA86, great post, but I disagree with you on one point. As someone who has been involved with businesses for over 40 years, while some business folks are dirty, the vast majority play by the rules. They do not screw over their suppliers, create phony universities, file for BK at the drop of a hat to get out of paying back the money they owe, etc. While the current traitor in the White House certainly falls into that category, most people are generally honest, and the ones who work harder and smarter rise to the top.

I'm buying what you are selling. And I think we actually were on the same page from the start.
