F. St came in averaging over 80 ppg and we just shut them down in the second half. You can't come from 17 down with 6:30 to play without shutdown D and rebounding.
I mentioned in the post about what we needed going into this game and we got it. A great game from Demery. A very solid game from Melendez. We were still outboarded by 42-38, but it wasn't a factor as we didn't give up a bunch of second chance points.
I told you guys Justin Hill was a clutch player and not to write him off as a key guy on this club. He sure as hell proved it tonight. gawd, if we could get our outside shooting up just 4-5% points we'll be tough to handle. If we shoot 70% from the line tonight we win by 6-8 points. But, you know what? I'll sure as hell take it.
