I love Jason Walker’s heart and aggression. He plays hard and runs down plays. In terms of raw talent he is similar to Micah Parsons (who he wishes to emulate). But he has zero eye discipline, gives up his containment assignments, and cannot play the run unless he catches someone in the backfield.

CJ Allen is our best run-stopper, but his coverage skills are lacking.

Cole is our best pass coverage linebacker by far.

We blitz too much and we empty the middle of the field when we do.

  • In obvious passing downs we need to maximize the rush, with limited blitzing, and provide better coverage on the TE or RB, with a package of 11, 29, 10, and 18.
  • In obvious running downs we need CJ Allen on the field with Mondon. Mondon has not been great but he and Allen are our best run stoppers by far.
  • If we do blitz, we need to have Cole playing in coverage behind it.

Obviously, we cannot sub whenever we want. But we have to get Cole on the field more, we have to do a better job stopping the run, and we have to be less obvious about our blitzes.
