Again out classed in yet another SEC contest. The players said we conceded the Thursday night game by starting the freshmen. It's not the freshmens effort, but after 7 hits and 8 runs you might think a pitching change is in order. We didn't even get a pitcher up until after 6 runs were score. What game was he watching? There's not a sane person that would not have made a pitching change.
Not sure why pitchers can't work on five days rest after a short night the week before but I guess we are in the millennial age. First rounders need to have fire and want the ball.
Coach Stricklin is surrounded by weak coaches, operations team and training staff. This is the responsibility of the head coach. The tweet heading into Starkville will be replaced by a sign exiting.

After another 12 strike out performance against Mercer, the quote of we need to get back to work in the cages. No, we need a hitting coach and not someone who gives 10 year old instructions about choking up on the bat and moving closer to the plate. I guess the cage work was saved for Coach Sticklins son so that he was ready for the travel ball tournaments this weekend.
I guess being 13th in batting average, 13th in slugging, 13th on base, 13th runs scored, 13th hits and rbi's, 4th in k's, and 14th in stolen bases. These aren't numbers in the country but a 14 team SEC.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Do we not have others in the dugout? The only real answer is fire the entire staff and start over. After losing 7 to the draft last year and potentially another six this year it's not talent it's the coaches in the dugout leading this team.
This being said as MS State goes up 9-1 bottom of 7.
