Was flipping channels and there was a panel discussing what happened and why. One "democratic strategist" said something to the effect of "we have to realize there's a segment of the country that's willing to accept a certain level of racism. It's not a democratic problem or anything that a campaign can address. We have deep-seeded problems in the country that have to be addressed"

Stunning. His response is basically, it's not us or what we did, it's that there are too many racist Americans who went for Trump. Hopefully he has tremendous influence on the DNC so they can keep running the same kind of campaign in the future, and get the same results!

I think one of the Dem's problems was rhetoric. And they kept ratcheting up the insults and labeling. And most of it was totally baseless. The Nazi reference just because of his event at MSG; claiming he would use the military against civilians, saying he would abandon the constitution, on and on. And they repeatedly tried to label Trump as a racist, but I've never heard any facts or even anecdotes to support that. But they kept throwing out more and more vitriol, and I think everyone except the die-hard libs, just tuned it all out.

Dems ALWAYS gotta play that card…. it’s been worn out so much by the Dems that no one is listening....it’s really sad, because when there is true racism, it will not be taken as seriously as it should..and the elephant in the room that everyone is so scared to talk about, is there is as much racism that exist on the other side

Saw many interviews of women and black women that say “I’m voting for her because she’s a woman” or “because she’s a black woman”. But that’s ok. She got more votes because she was a woman and/or black than not getting a vote because of that. But keep it up dems. America is sick of it. It’s time to move past the race stuff.

I was flipping between Fox and CNN early this morning when the race was called. Juan Williams on Fox claimed it was because of the macho vote and sexism of not wanting a black woman president, Carl Rove lit in to him and you could tell Juan was pissed. On CNN you had Axelrod and Van Jones just depressed and couldn’t come up with a reason. They refused to blame Harris, almost praising her for running a close race. There was a hint to blaming Biden for not getting out sooner.
They’re blind.

the single biggest hurdle to a black female president is black male voters - they have not show a propensity to back a black woman for a very high office. just sayin.....

The story of the night is Trump turned the republican party into a multiracial blue collar party. Which should terrify the democrats.

They could place one phone call to Bill Maher and he would solve about 90% of their biggest issues in about a 5 minute conversation.

They run a campaign highlighting their candidates gender and ethnicity but will not acknowledge the biological differences between men and women.

They claim to champion women's rights as long as the women they are championing aren't request female only locker rooms and don't want to compete in sports that feature feats of strength and speed with males.

They claim to be the protectors of democracy while censoring their opponents, fight against the 2nd amendment and engage in lawfare against an opposition candidate and his supporters. They have also wrongly breached attorney/client privilege in order to pursue a sitting and former POTUS as well as create a chilling effect for anyone else that dares to represent him.

Instead of looking inward and admitting that selecting a poor candidate that even they didn't really like was a fatal error, they are determined to blame their boneheaded move on the voters that rejected their vision and tactics. When you give the people a choice of a candidate that isn't especially inspiring and has proven she can't even attract voters from her own party, blaming your opponent for her demise is intellectual laziness.

I'm expecting a major realignment and possibly a 3rd party movement. Imo, the neocons/never Trumpers have been relegated to being irrelevant in the Pub party.

Call it MAGA, America First, nationalism or whatever you want but the half of the country that does not wish to participate in a globalist new world order have given the NEOs a choice. Either participate in the USA 1 populist movement that share a lot of your social values or team up with the authoritarian left that shares your globalist goals but would be willing to allow someone to induce the growing of tits on your middle school aged son without your knowledge.

The lens they view the world through is premised upon the idea that they are more virtuous than everyone else, so any time they fail, it must be because of the moral shortcomings of the people who didn't choose them.
This is exactly the reason. David Axelrod actually said last night that the Dem message sounded more like a missionary talking trying to convert people to be more upright like the Dem establishment rather than listening to the issues facing everyday Americans.

Or the fact that the only black woman at the top of the ticket was the worst politician we've ever seen running for a very high office. Maybe if Kamala's pitch to black males had been more than some free money and legalizing weed, and she would have focused on the issues that are important to male voters in general as much as she focused on Trump will kill women, she may have had better luck.

all true

Yeah but you have too blame old Sleepy Joe for putting her that position to start with. He knew she wasn’t qualified to start with.
Set her up to fail. I think when Biden stepped down the Dem establishment wanted to have a quick primary to chose the best candidate. Old Joe put a stop on that immediately when he said that it was Harris who should be the pick and they couldn’t go against the DEI pick. Could you imagine the outcry if they had passed her over.

For my British and European friends who are "shocked" and "surprised", here are 10 reasons you didn't see this coming.

Read this short post and then read the replies from our American friends who will confirm what I'm saying.

1. Americans love their country and want it to be the best in the world. America is a nation of people who conquered a continent. They love strength. They love winning. Any leader who appeals to that has an automatic advantage.

2. Unlike Europeans, Americans have not accepted managed decline. They don't have Net Zero here, they believe in producing their own energy and making it as cheap as possible because they know that their prosperity depends on it.

3. Prices for most basic goods in the US have increased rapidly and are sky high. What the official statistics say about inflation and the reality of people's lives are not the same.

4. Unlike you, Americans do not believe in socialism. They believe in meritocracy. They don't care about the super rich being super rich because they know that they live in a country where being super rich is available to anyone with the talent and drive to make it. They don't resent success, they celebrate it.

5. Americans are the most pro-immigration people in the world. Read that again. Seriously, read it again. Americans love an immigrant success story. They want more talented immigrants to come to America. But they refuse to accept people coming illegally. They believe in having a border.

6. Americans are sensitive about racial issues and their country's imperfect history. They believe that those who are disadvantaged by the circumstances of their birth should be given the opportunity to succeed. What they reject, however, is the idea that in order to address the errors of the past new errors must be made. DEI is racist. They know it and they reject it precisely because they are not racist.

7. Americans are the most philosemitic nation on earth. October 7 and the pro-Hamas left's reaction shocked them to their very core because, among other things, they remember what 9/11 was like and they know jihad when they see it.

8. Americans are extremely practical people. They care about what works, not what sounds good. In Europe, we produce great writers and intellectuals. In America they produce (and attract) great engineers, businessmen and investors. Because of this, they care less about Trump's rhetoric than you do and more about his policies than you do.

9. Americans are deeply optimistic people. They hate negativity. The woke view of American history as a series of evils for which they must eternally apologise is utterly abhorrent to them. They believe in moving forward together, not endlessly obsessing about the past.

10. America is a country whose founding story is one of resistance to government overreach. They loathe unnecessary restrictions, regulations and control. They understand that freedom comes with the price of self-reliance and they pay it gladly.

my race really doesn't matter (although im not white) - look at the data its self explanatory.

I watched a clip with Jenn Psacki explaining how she had to wake her daughter up this morning and give her the horrible news, but she said, I told her "there are plenty of good people in this country still and out there trying to good" I am just setting there thinking, did you just tell your daughter that half country are bad people? Like, did you guys not learn anything last night. Then they went on to discuss how "uneducated white woman" voted for Trump! Again, so what exactly is an uneducated white woman?

If you've traveled internationally, you know that the two main sources for American news is CNN International and Sky News. It may not be going too far to say that what comes out of those channels is even more biased and anti-Trump than the US Media. At least there is a little understanding here....and we take stuff with a grain of salt. The Euros get nothing but anti-Trump news without any counter-balance.

These radicals just don’t get it. It goes to show that some people are just ignorant and will never accept the reality that we voted for freedom and justice and they just don’t believe in that. They believe that the elites should rule over the working class. Guess they will have to be shown that we are just as good as they are and we don’t kneel to no one but God.

Maybe…..but from my seat, they are/were lying and they know they were lying. They were just hoping that people were stupid enough to believe it. It didn’t work this time.

Just a WAG, but thinks they see all of this and will try to move back more closer to the center next time to get votes……but I still don’t trust them. It seemed as though “KAMALA” was trying to do it by copying some of what Trump wanted to do.

She just wasn’t consistent enough in her beliefs for people to believe her.

Maybe if she just stuck with her “joy” campaign and didn’t turn into an angry Trump there at the end - 😉
