Looked like excessive force used IMO.
A bit of an overreaction, but it's another case of what can happen when you don't comply with a lawful order from a cop. The site that originally posted the story seems to have exaggerated a bit:Sorry if already posted but figured it was worth sharing.

Looks like the cop was fired.A bit of an overreaction, but it's another case of what can happen when you don't comply with a lawful order from a cop. The site that originally posted the story seems to have exaggerated a bit:
In his initial report, Fraser made mention that Roquet had struck him, and that is why he used excessive force. This video shows that Fraser was lying.
Did the video show that he was lying? Once the situation got to that point, I couldn't really tell what was going on. Another report described the kid as "helpless." He may have been unarmed, but that's not quite the same thing as helpless.
Sure but was hard to watch that guy getting beaten like thatThe cop should have let the idiot go to bed and sleep it off. That said, reactions by many posters would be very different if a black guy with braids had acted in the exact same way that guy did. Even if it had ended in the guy getting shot many would have argued it was his fault for not obeying commands.
