If its Sherrer we will know fairly quickly. I doubt there is a huge rush at this point. We have the major highlights done that were serious unknowns. McClendon, if being retained, may know but not going public since right now he is HC for the bowl. That said, OC just got in town and had a major recruiting weekend.. give him a bit of time to round it out. Defensively...the biggest question to me is whether Kirby will coach inside linebackers as well...if so, it frees up a slot for a full time special teams coach.
No it' was different site it kinda makes sence if was sheer why waight. I'm thinking its lopi Davis tucker or rumph.
Rumph hasn't been much of a recruiter just going by the players 247 has credited him with signing. I like Tucker's resume, but I'm not that familiar with him.

Lupoi is very impressive, He'd be a good choice.
I'm changing my vote to Mel Tucker though. He was Saban's DBs coach at 2 stops, and he was extremely successful as an NFL DC for 2 teams and fairly successful at a 3rd NFL team. He's also earned raves from Kirby and Saban this season.
Davis has been coaching a long time as a DL coach. If he were going to be a DC it seems like He would have made the move before now.
