Does everyone expect Lambert to be back next year and if so starting?

I wonder if he has met with Smart. I'm pretty sure Lambert has one more year of eligibility. Personally I hope he moves on and just give Ramsey a shot next year and if Eason comes in ease him into the starting role. You still have to think one of the determining factors for Eason is that he will have a good chance to start right away or in the first few games like Zeier did.

I think Eason would start the first snap. Kirby knows it

Lambert is important to the d, for all his shortcomings, he does not turn the ball over much and is a classic game manager.

I think eason can start by the 5-6th game but we need some body to not put the d back against the wall this year and that sure as hell is not ramsey. Ramsey is a complete bust and should have never been recruited out of the 40s offense he played in high school.

I would think that if Lambert was about to be the backup at Virginia, he is better off staying here as a backup then transferring.

Well then why transfer I mean he said he studied shotys offense

I am saying he wouldn't transfer from here. I am assuming when he was coming here he knew there was a good chance he would be the backup. I am just saying back-up possible starter at UGA is a better scenario then what he could probably transfer to unless it is to a small school.

No I ment that was one of the reasons he went with us.

I think he stays and competes. While he is no Tom Brady and this is his second shot, I'm not so sure the guy got anything close to quality coaching this year.

That is a good point. He seemed to actually get worse as the year went on. Makes me wonder if they got in his head and convinced him all he is capable of is game mgmt and his goal is to not lose us the game.

Davis making that catch in Knoxville could have done a lot for his confidence.

Ramsey was given a shot every single day in practice and couldn't beat out Lambert. Lambert may not be a great QB, but he's a hell of a lot better than Ramsey.

.

I would assume Lambert starts as you guys are saying. I heard Kirby say a huge problem Ga has is not enough playmakers at the perimeter; like we need 2 or 3 more guys like Malcolm M. I'm sure one of Kirby's main points is trying to lock down Eason; then if that falls through go after plan B. Either way we need to get someone prepped for 2017.

3 & outs are just as bad for the defense as INTs and fumbles IMO

Trevor knight might be on a radar

I guess that might be the place we are in if we don't have any blue chip qb's in this class, grabbing a guy from another school who was demoted as a starting qb.
