During the 2003 season I got invited to a small dinner with Coach dooleys Coach’s Cavan and some former players in Savannah. Coach Dooley was terrific. I remember him being in shock and awe over the size of players and specifically of Max Jean Gillis Who he described as “light on his feet “” “probably play at 400 pounds. “
A really admirable human being. Later I got invited to breakfast before a game at their house over on Milledge and found Barbara to be absolutely charming as a hostess. Extremely down to earth, extremely friendly and I enjoyed every moment of that morning. Great people rest in peace Coach
