It is not policing that the dems are against,...but it is policing at a federal/national level in which subverts local sovereignty

Well said. The centralized government can circumvent the citizen.

Just ask the citizens of every dictatorship, communist or socialist government.

The items that are missing from those governments are
1) sovereign states
2) local representation of elected officials
3) an electorial college that allows for citizens across the country to speak at the ballot
4) state and local control of law enforcement
5) a Constitution that was created to protect those points

When you give the keys to the pantry to the Fed, it creates a vacuum of power for the citizen.
