Who knows if true, but I read an article that he turned down an $8 million NIL deal to transfer to another school - one of the primary reasons being to preserve his legacy as a Longhorn.
This resonates with regards to Beck’s transfer and I am sure fuels some of our disappointment.
I know situations are different but I don’t think legacy mattered much to him. It may as he gets older and reflects on his past.
