We need to purge the bad DEI from our institutions, but there's so much history we're going to lose if we're not careful.

I didn't see the page, but I bet if there was a bunch of "white man bad" stuff on it, it might have been yanked.

The Navajo Code Talkers totally deserved to be recognized. Also, someone took down the Tuskeegee Airmen pages when Pete Hegseth was sworn in as Sec Def to maliciously comply with the DEI orders. He restored them straightaway; not sure if whomever took the page down was publicly reprimanded.

I hope so.

I'm no DEI fan, but I know that the United States has bent over backwards to tell a lot of our own ugly history in our short time amongst nations.

The Civil Rights accomplishments, the Code Talkers, Tuskeegee Airmen, and many others we don't even know about deserve to have a known place in our history. It's a delicate balance I guess in acknoweldging what was done wrong and admiring those who overcame while not going overboard with Marxist revisionism.

At some point, it's not about honoring those who suffered, but about shame and power over others. The shaming and power-grabs are what people resent.

It seems there is a misunderstanding with many in our government/country with that DEI means. Getting rid of DEI should not mean that people of a diverse race/ethnicity lose credibility. It should mean that they do not get jobs just because they are of a certain race/ethnicity/gender. Not really sure why this is so hard for many to understand.

BUT, I knew we were in trouble in 2020 when Biden announced that he was looking for an African American female as a running mate. That is the single most DEI, racist thing to ever.
