Of course, he will probably get fired because the MSM is formulating their talking points which include trying to suggest this wasn't an assassination attempt. I even heard a report saying there may not be any federal charges. Not sure if that is legit or just wishful thinking their part, seems like it would be hard to avoid.

I know, I was shaking my head as well. I don’t remember the logic, but they said he didn’t actually shoot at the president so they weren’t sure there would be federal charges.
I think some want to lay the groundwork to claim he was never in danger. They don’t this to create any more sympathy for him. They will start ignoring this one almost immediately.
