What are the luxury hotels?
I keep seeing it posted, but where are the names and addresses of these hotels?
The Roosevelt Hotel, the Row Hotel, and the Watson Hotel. New York City has used over 100 hotels for migrant housing, but those three are explicitly named in reports related to the FEMA allocation.
Are those luxury?
To be clear, allowing any illegal aliens in is wrong, encouraging them to come in is worse, and housing and paying them is even worse.
I just don’t know that the “luxury hotels” line is going to land as well as conservatives want.
There needs to be some way to “bill the democrats” for all the labor this is costing. Like, send a bill to Kamala’s house. Lol
I'm not sure it matters, but I haven't seen anybody argue those aren't luxury. The bigger issue here is the $ going out after orders to stop were given and more importantly after more than 6 months of flood/storm-stricken western NC residents still not getting $, some were kicked out of hotels, and others are living in tents or are otherwise homeless.

Illegal aliens who are imported from other countries, and they’re all Brown, are going to vote for Democrats in exchange for the money and opportunity they’ve been illegally handed.
Once the illegals have been here for two generations, you see them start to turn right of center. This is happening in Texas in Florida now. And this is precisely why the Democrats need to continually fled the country with new illegal aliens because the old ones are turning away from them.

FYI, I saw it reported that some of this may have been to pay Dec/Jan bills. However, a cease and desist was ordered and the fired official(s) should not have authorized it and the CFO had basically been a rubber stamp for everything.

Why are we paying to house illegals in any hotel? Who made that decision how to spend my tax dollars instead of fixing potholes, improving US schools, and improving our infrastructure?
Who ever owns those hotels are getting luxury prices for their rooms. They are getting rich off of the government.

My favorite defense of the use of these funds is that “it is a lie that this is a luxury hotel”…..
1) as if that matters….but if it does…
2) ADR’s (average daily rates) in the part of midtown manahattan in the blocks surrounding the Roosevelt approach $1k a night on weekends in December.
3) Nothing says “we are the party of the middle class” like insulting someone’s classification of a $1k a night hotel as “luxury
