When asked if he’s actually read anything on specific criticism of players..
“I think big picture criticism of me is fine. I think that was more a point that we can’t recruit everybody and I think that you have to understand this, with what’s going on in college basketball is going on, we’re not going to get certain players. There’s obviously an element to our game that’s brought in the FBI. Sometimes those things occur. My comments really were not directed at the entire media because I think the media’s got a job to do and they’ve been fair.”
It appeared Fox was upset about a story Jason did when he mentioned Georgia did not recruit Bryce Brown
“Certainly, if you’re going to criticize the recruits that we did get, that means you’re criticizing our players. I think really criticism of me is fair game and that comes with the territory. I think that when you start talking about our team, whether it’s direct or indirect, I have to defend these young people and that’s my responsibility to them.”
