I used to love coming to the hoops forum to get quality insights and information on our dawgs. Now it has devolved into a Mark Fox hate fest. I get it, this is the vent, people have the right to come on here and complain about the coach. Heck, there are issues that I have with the head man, but it has gotten to a level that is tough to follow. The same posters complain about the same things with an obvious agenda. You know it's bad when posts are negative even after a win. Constructive criticism even in victory is important, but many of these posts go beyond that and only serve the given posters disdain for Mark Fox.
The common theme is we win in spite of our head coach and lose because of him. That shows obvious subjective bias. It's like if you don't like the current president, no decision is good and you'll only look for the bad. It degrades ones objective credibility to the point where it's difficult to be taken serious.
The truth is we have an average coach (151-119, 70-68). He doesn't recruit well enough to go beyond being average and he has deficiencies (as all coaches do) with in game decision making. The current AD is fine with average. That's not CMF's fault. He is who he is and apparently our admin accepts it. That to me is beyond frustrating. However, continually pointing out those things is frustrating to me as well.
I would ignore those posters but then there wouldn't be much else to read on the hoops board. Plus many of their opinions I've enjoyed in the past. We all know which posters no longer want Mark Fox as our coach, can we not make every issue or win/loss a referendum on that?
