Frustrating we treated today like a spring training game...

I get it. I suppose. But I think the message sent to the players was that the game doesn't really matter. To be fair, it didn't, but we were positioned well to win the SEC tournament. We chose the long run and I get it, but still frustrating. I wanted to win the SEC tournament. I also think we could have done that and not affected our chances in the NCAA tourney.

Curious question for baseball experts. Is a simulated game not the same for a pitcher? I mean I get that it's probably like playing golf with your buddies vs the club championship, but had we lost today, couldn't Locey have gotten work in a simulated game tomorrow?

Give Ole Miss credit. They hit the ball in the rights spots today. They had timely hitting. We had a shot in the end and I appreciate the effort, but I can't help but feel like this loss was on CSS. He treated today with the bigger picture in mind and the results dictated.

We're going to get to Omaha. I think we have as good a shot as any other team to win our last game of the season.
