At a 4th of July cookout yesterday. Super cool guy, born and raised outside LA. While UCLA is his favorite team, he is also just a fan of the sport, hates the NFL. Loves it so much he went to our game in SoFi. These types are rare out here. I was wearing a Back2Back cap and at the beginning of the conversation he asked, “So are you REALLY a fan or did you just become one in the last few years?”
“I’m die hard,” I laughed. He wasn’t convinced at first. Said all the kids at his kids’ school jumped on the bandwagon a few years ago because of Brock and Stetson.
He’s also a youth football coach (I told him about Three Year Letterman, haha) and knows CJ Stroud because he coaches in the same league in Rancho Cucamonga. Said CH spoke highly of Stetson when a kid asked about him.
Anyway, sorry to ramble. Thought it was cool to get an outsider’s perspective on the program.
