they are renovating the current Arena to the tune of $64.5 Million. New seating, suites, concourses, concessions, player's lounge, lighting, state of the art overhead scoreboard, etc. Think about that, then consider Clemson has rebuilt Littlejohn, OM and Aub have new buildings, SCar has a relatively new building, Ala poured money into Coleman, GT rebuilt Alexander. Then look at us. We had a chance a few short years back to do an extensive overhaul of Steg in excess of $30 Million which involved excavation, changing the floor layout, reworking what is the student section with suites up top, restrooms, etc. Instead, we opted for less aggressive (cheap alternative) renovations at around $10 Million. The restrooms are better, the coucourses and expansion on each side with the glass a huge improvement, but the job isn't yet finished 3-4 years into it. Why? ADGM has yet to complete the approved renovations, he is still putting the work on hold. Ceiling, painting, lighting, repositioning of banners, sound system, overhead scoreboard, additional scoreboards and lighted signage around the top. Is there a reason this Ath Dept cannot finish the job? What is the holdup? Anyone have an answer?
