Georgia offered Lagonza Hayward on Feb. 28 and he hadn’t heard much from the staff since. Well, on Tuesday, co-DC and safeties coach Travaris Robinson visited Toombs County and surprised Hayward. Hayward was caught off guard by the visit from Robinson, but he enjoyed seeing the Georgia coach. Robinson wanted to see up close how Hayward was at practice and how he interacted with his teammates. Hayward left the conversation with Robinson having a better understanding of how Georgia operates. Hayward knows what kind of player Kirby Smart wants, and according to him, Robinson said he “fit the bill” of what the staff is looking for. Hayward is now trying to set up an official visit with Georgia in June. As of now, he’s only going on visits to USC and Florida State. He canceled his official visit to Alabama. Hayward is strongly considering Georgia again.
