Georgia was planning to take two running backs in the class of 2017, those spots have now been filled. With the in-state talent at the position lacking for this class, Georgia went out and landed prospects from two states that have not are not known as fertile recruiting grounds for the Bulldogs, Pennsylvania and Texas. D'Andre Swift becomes the the highest rated commit for Georgia and the Bulldogs now have four commits in the top 50 for the class.
The Bulldogs move to 5th overall in the team rankings, with Alabama still holding on to the top spot followed by Ohio State, LSU and Oklahoma. Each of those schools ahead of the Bulldogs have at least 18 commits at this point, with Georgia only having 15. Alabama, who has a 700 point advantage over the Bulldogs, has 6 more commits and 21 total.
