Sorry to vent but they are still dealing with this Amtrack crash and before all the fires were out politicians were already pointing the finger at funding and lack of spending on infrastructure. Never let a crises go to waste. Now it appears the train was going 106 mph... not sure spending would have fixed that.

Just hate to see the agenda first then the facts second. Both sides do it, but this just seems to be an egregious example.

That the thing to do now . Bash the police and spend more money . we live in a time people want to sound like a jackass before facts are shown .

The day we wait for facts to be laid out the day we go back to thread view ( sorry trying to be a funny drunk ) lol

I agree 100%, just a glorious tragedy to take advantage of and demand more taxes to fix the problem. We do not need facts to get in the way of our noble attempt to grab more money.

The thing I have been most irritated with in Obama's presidency was the over $800 billion dollar stimulus bill (porkulus I call it) that had only $50 billion in it for infrastructure spending. Only about $20 billion in roads bridges etc. they included solar projects in with infrastructure. Regardless of whether you think we should we should have done it or not, once we decided to spend that much money we should have spent it wisely. We could have really rebuilt the nations infrastructure. Instead about a third of it went for Medicaid payments to the states. We missed a big opportunity there and just burned a huge pile of money.
