for an Old Lady? You are a punk if you don't help that lady through the door! A good 20 feet. Heck, I was going into a store once and an old man fell down getting out of a car. I was a good 40 feet from him and at least 10 people walked by him before I got there to help him up. I kid you not.

I'll stand there for 5 minutes waiting on her if necessary....always have, always will. Did just that this week. If I hadn't I'd have relatives come up outta the grave and get me, with apologies to Jerry Clower!

Hang around the door, like you're tying a shoe or checking something on your phone. Once she's 10 feet away, acknowledge her and grab the door.

Worst thing about hobbling is trying to hurry, knowing someone's waiting for you to get there.

If/when she compliments/thanks you, compliment her about something.
