Whats your thoughts. . JV kid sat in the stands on the opposing teams side with their logo, because his girlfriend is a cheerleader for that team.

I completely understand why these guys did what they did. Am I wrong. Would make me mad to work my butt off with my team to have a "teammate" wear the other teams colors on game day. I don't think the "beating" was really as bad as the media is trying to make it. Hearing from others that the kid was high fiveing and laughing with teammates after the incident.

Back when I was growing up that probably would have passed without incident provided the kid was not hurt.

Wrong, I'm from Colquitt County and played football there. My coaches would never have done anything so stupid as to incite an assault on another player. They assaulted the player for wearing the wrong color shirt. If the coaches incited the players to do this, they should go to jail.

How can you be so stupid?

By the way you guys are ridiculous good again this year.. gonna be a fun game. We may be looking for a new coach anyway if he cant get this turned around. But back to the topic.. Agree on the part of the Coaches if they are pushing this then there are some bigger problems. But I know several coaches and the ones I know would never let this happen. Coach Coffey would not let this happen.

Some heads are going to roll, I live on St Simons now. I was at the game. My friends went to Glynn Academy. They gave you guys all you wanted.

I laughed my tail off when I heard the police are involved. I played in the early 70's and once in a while our locker room antics got too rowdy and the coaches would run those involved until they puked. Problem solved.

I played at GA in the 70s, before we knew there was a Camden County. Back then, this would barely garner any attention. Upperclassmen would have smacked us around a bit. When it looked like we'd had enough, a coach would "notice" and break up the fight. Problem solved.

People are just too sensitive anymore.

I started in the 81. We had fights. But, a group beating wasn't sanctioned by any coaches. If you go at it one on one, then have at it. But a group beating instigated by the coaches is ridiculous. Coaches broke up fights, they didn't endorse them.

You want your son being beaten by a group of team mates while a coach watches. I don't think so.
