Even though we definitely woke up thanks to the incident at the end of the half, we missed several chances to put this game away by double digits. Strange subs again by Fox at crucial points in the 2nd half and sloppy play when it's time to put the hammer down are still concerning to me.
Great to see Diatta play to the level many felt he could give us. He is a very well-rounded player. He can put it on the floor and finish or make the nice pass. Also has a nice stroke.
The press and uptempo worked pretty well for a large part of the 2nd half. JP continues to take better and make more shots. Still prefer DO with more minutes than ME.
Teams turn the ball over for different reasons, either because of pressure D, poor preparation, or, which I believe is much of our problem, thinking instead of just playing. Anytime you are thinking too much you are a step slow. Our plodding half court game and Fox's control issues are the causes of much of our sloppy play imo. We usually play more efficiently when we are uptempo\ where we just play.
