Hays in the barn Gump: Ryan Grubb appears to be ours.

Rut-roh Gump: Twitter (X) is blowing up with Grubb to Seahawks. There are pictures reportedly showing him at a restaurant with Seahawks staff. Not sure if it’s true but this is coming out in the last couple of hours.

Huskie Fake News Gump: It’s almost certainly not true at this juncture. People need to understand this is the half dozen UDub diehards online trolling Alabama.

He was never really on DeBoard Gump: As I’ve said all along much to the chagrin of some of the posters here, there is a reason why he is the only Bama coach that did not update any of his social media.

The bearer of bad news Gump:

Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter·Follow
Seahawks are hiring former Washington offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, who recently accepted the same position at Alabama, per me and @PeteThamel. Seahawks have filled their OC hole.

"Keep an eye on him. May try to take something as he heads out." Gump:
Damn

Hope he doesn’t take Shep and Huff with him

"He was a west coast hippie, He wasn't gonna ever fit" Gump: When I heard the rumor mills that his wife did not want to move to Alabama coupled with him never acknowledging Alabama on social media, I for one am not surprised.

"He was the greatest OC in college football a month ago. Now he's no longer needed." Gump: It’s DeBoer’s offense. Everybody on the staff he brought knows how to run it.

"Let's go pillage from another over achieving school" Gump: Apparently the Missouri OC is a guy to watch.

Goodell can KMA Gump: Hate the fricking NFL

Bammer hearts Gump: What a sh***y thing to do. I'm sorry, but I find this to be completely unprofessional. Don't let the door hit you, grubb.

Don't really keep up with the news cycle very well Gump: Now in the OC market along with Ohio St.

"This ain't Saban" Gump:
I understand majority of you are not open to alternate opinions, but, this is not a good look for DeBoer. No way he didn’t know. They’ve been very close friends for years. Not a good look to the recruits, players OR fans.

If he were a company, DeBoer, Inc would be needing to write down some goodwill.

"The blame should go around" Gump: Shouldn’t just have this feeling toward Grubb. DeBoer is just a culpable for the drag along.

"He has no right to listen to other offers." Gump: Agreed. Pretty unprofessional in my opinion. Can’t say I wish him success…

Panic mode Gump:
I don't give a frick about the NFL, ergo I don't give a frick about the Seattle OC.

Who is going to be DeBoer's OC now?
Has DeBoer ever called plays on offense?

"Grubb has no scruples for leaving so soon. Let's see if we can get that stand-up guy Kirby Moore to leave Mizzou after just signing a new 1.2 million a year contract" Gump:
The good thing is that it's DeBoer's offense, so we are not in a bad place. Knowing how DeBoer operates, we can expect him to hire someone he knows from previous coaching staffs. That indeed makes Kirby Moore, Missouri's OC, who was with DeBoer at Fresno State, the logical choice.

With Moore instead of Grubb, Bama's coaching staff under KDB will continue to be elite. And as a bonus, we may get an OC now who stays longer than just one season.

Chicken or Egg Gump: DeBoer I don’t believe he ever coached a meaningful game without Grubb as his OC.

"You all can talk about the man's character all you want, but he screwed the players for our benefit. He's okay in my book." Gump: Waited until the 30 day window closed to make it official, I'm not mad at it

The great fear Gump:

How much hiring power would Grubb have in Seattle if he wanted to poach coaches already hired at BAMA, I wonder.
